New in 2022 the positive feedback from guests has been overwhelming. Our 2 Shepherds Huts are located in a secluded area of our arboretum adjacent to an ancient woodland. Perfect for a couples romantic stay.
After leaving your car in the car park, a 5 minute wheelbarrow walk leads you along magical woodland paths to an enchanting spot giving views across the meadow. The sunny elevated position of your cosy Shepherds Hut offers a romantic retreat like no other. Your Shepherds Hut is positioned with an adjacent decked sitting-out area and you will have your own fire-pit to enjoy those evenings gazing at the stars (no light pollution!)
Sleeping 2, our Shepherds Huts are uniquely furnished with futon, dresser and table and chairs. (Don't forget to bring your bedding and pillows). You will have a glamping pack with all that you need for alfresco cooking.
The Shepherds Huts are 5m x 2.5m and are of timber construction. They have no mains electricity and are not heated. Internal lighting is battery powered.
In the arboretum there is a ‘tree bog’ and drinking water. Communal showers, flushable toilets and washing up sinks are a short walk away in our camping meadow.
We harvest our own wood on-site which you can buy (already dried) to make your fire. Only wood purchased on-site can be used.
